Biga — brand website for a bakery chain

The challenge

Biga is a well-known Israeli bakery chain with a strong brand — sourdough breads, pastries, and a loyal audience. The previous website didn't do the product justice: it under-represented the brand, was slow on mobile, and hard for the marketing team to update.

What I built

A WordPress site with a theme written specifically for Biga — not an off-the-shelf template:

• Design that sells food — product photography front and center, clean typography, and subtle animations that never get in the content's way.
• A lean custom theme built on Tailwind and Alpine — no plugin bloat, no dead code.
• Simple content management — the marketing team updates branches, menus and promotions without a developer.
• Fully responsive — most of Biga's visitors arrive on mobile, and the site was built for them first.

The result

A fast site that presents the brand properly, live and working hard since 2024. Biga's team has maintained the content independently from day one.
